Public Safety, Utility, SCADA & Broadcast Infrastructure

Public-safety, utility, industrial, and broadcast projects need construction work that fits the facility's access and operating requirements. Above Wireless can scope the physical installation with the owner, engineer, or systems integrator while keeping network and control-system responsibilities clear.

Scope built around the site.

Physical tower, antenna, cable, and site infrastructure for specialty communications, with engineering and system integration responsibilities separately defined.

  • Tower and antenna-support construction packages
  • Public-safety radio antenna and transmission-line installation
  • Utility telemetry and SCADA communications infrastructure
  • Industrial radio equipment mounting and cable pathways
  • Broadcast antenna and transmission-line installation scopes
  • Microwave and point-to-point physical installations
  • Cabinet, shelter, and equipment-support interfaces
  • Grounding, bonding, and coordinated site civil work
  • Equipment replacement and planned outage coordination

Potential packages involve communications towers, rooftop supports, utility compounds, equipment shelters, and specialty antenna structures. Facility access, structural approval, equipment requirements, and outage authorization must be established for the specific project.

How the work comes together

Define. Coordinate. Document.

01

Define the construction interface

Review the physical scope with the customer's technical team. Assign drawings, installation details, equipment supply, testing, and integration responsibilities before work begins.

02

Coordinate around operations

Plan access, lifting, cable routing, and equipment changes around the facility's restrictions. Obtain the required direction before disturbing active communications equipment.

03

Hand off to the system team

Document mounting, pathways, and completed construction. Support agreed access for acceptance activities and identify items that require the engineer or integrator's review.

Safety & quality

Clear requirements.
Useful field records.

  • Verify approved mounting and transmission-line support details.
  • Review RF exposure, facility access, and authorized outage controls.
  • Check weatherproofing, cable protection, and specified bonding.
  • Keep sensitive facility and system information within the project team.

Project responsibilities

Radio engineering, frequency licensing, SCADA programming, control-system integration, monitoring, and broadcast-system tuning are separately scoped to qualified providers. Specialty equipment and testing require project-specific confirmation. This describes construction scope available for review, not completed projects in every listed market.
